Solid Board

Solid board refers to high tensile strength laminated products made primarily from 100% recycled paperboard. Commonly used in Europe where wax-coated corrugated is prohibited due to its non-recyclability, the converted products of Newark Solidboard Products are an ideal solution because of their strength, structural integrity even when wet, and "field to retail floor" functionality.

In our twenty years of providing solid board, we have developed a number of custom products for specific uses, including: Videpack™ hand-erected agricultural boxes; Packfort™five-piece machine-erected agricultural boxes; and TrayCompact™, a premium fish tray. Our customer base includes every major agricultural products grower in Europe, as well as distributors of meat, chicken, fish, dairy, flowers and more.

In addition to its recyclability, solid board has the following benefits:

• It provides superior protection, and can even be submerged in cold water, loaded wet onto pallets and then refrigerated without process interruption.
• It is an excellent surface for printing, reproducing vibrant colors and capable of accepting every color including black without the striations of fluted surfaces.
• It is modern, representing a significant improvement in fresh food protection for growers, packers, distributors and consumers.
